Once you have decided on a company name we can register your limited company. A limited company is a general form of incorporation that limits the amount of liability undertaken by the company’s shareholders. This means that the company exists independently of you as the business owner and you are only liable for the amount of capital you invest into the business personally.

To register a limited company in the UK you must have a registered business address in the UK. This is an official address but is not necessarily where you will do business. Official documentation will be sent to this address.

UK companies can end in Ltd or Limited. This is simply a matter of preference. Once registered, you will receive a Certificate of incorporation. This is conclusive proof that you have registered your company and it will show the date of your registration and your new company number.

If you want your clients and potential customers to contact your company, you need to make it easy for them and give them every opportunity to reach you. Having a business landline telephone number displayed on your website adds credibility to your company. It makes the company look more professional.

Once you set up your limited company in the UK, you should get a business bank account. As your business is legally separate from you, then you should not be using a personal account for business expenses. There are no legal restrictions that prevent non-UK residents and non-UK citizens from opening a UK business bank account. You do not have to live in the UK to open a business bank account. However, it might be complicated as banks require a proof of address.
